Important to Note:

Falmouth/Woods Hole is NOT Martha’s Vineyard (aka MV, the Vineyard, the Island)
You cannot drive directly onto MV. You will have to take a boat (ferry) or fly on to the Vineyard.

If you plan to bring a vehicle on the island—the only way to do so is to use the Steamship Authority Ferry which accommodates both passengers “and” vehicles. To drive  a vehicle on to the ferry you will need to start planning as early as possible because you must reserve a space for a vehicle on the Steamship Authority out of Woods Hole, MA.  Contact the  Steamship Authority.  You do not need a reservation to walk on to the ferry.
